A high loop on the drain
The drain hose lifted to the underside of the worktop before it drops to the trap. Without it, sink water runs back into the machine.
Plumbing
A dishwasher is boxed into a run of kitchen units, so a small leak soaks the cabinet beside it long before anybody sees water on the floor. That is the difference between this and any other appliance.
Start Here
What is happening, and where it usually starts.
Water under the machine or the next cupboard
A hose or a connection. Close the valve under the sink, because the inlet is under pressure whether the machine is on or not. Call +971 54 381 1897 now.
Dirty water in the bottom of the machine
Waste is running back from the sink waste. It means the drain hose has no high loop, and it is a plumbing fault rather than a machine one.
It stops and reports a drain fault
Usually the waste spigot on the sink trap is still blanked off, or the hose is kinked behind the machine. Both are minutes to fix.
A smell from the machine
Waste sitting in the drain hose because the loop is wrong, or the sink trap is holding grease. Both come from outside the machine.
No valve you can close
Nothing to shut off before a trip. A dishwasher inlet hose is live all day, and this is the cheapest thing on the page to put right.
Overview
The feed, the drain and the valve. Professional dishwasher plumbing Dubai is a short job that decides whether a kitchen unit survives the machine.
Water in
Dishwasher water connection Dubai and dishwasher water inlet installation Dubai, teed off the sink feed with its own valve.
Water out
Dishwasher drainage installation Dubai and dishwasher drain connection Dubai into the sink trap, with a high loop that actually works.
New and moved machines
Dishwasher plumbing installation Dubai for a first fit, and dishwasher pipe connection Dubai when a kitchen is rearranged.
Homes and businesses
Home dishwasher plumbing Dubai for flats and villas, and the same work in cafes and small commercial kitchens.
What We Work On
Six things, and the high loop is the one that is nearly always missing.
A high loop on the drain
The drain hose lifted to the underside of the worktop before it drops to the trap. Without it, sink water runs back into the machine.
Its own isolation valve
Usually a tee valve on the cold feed under the sink. It is what lets you close the machine before a trip without shutting off the kitchen.
A braided inlet hose
Under pressure all day like every other appliance hose. The braided one costs very little more and does not open.
The trap spigot opened
New sink traps come with the dishwasher spigot sealed. If nobody knocks it out, the machine cannot drain at all.
Hose routed without kinks
Pushing a machine back into a tight housing folds the drain hose. That is the commonest drain fault after the loop.
Something under it
A drip tray or a sealed floor under the machine. It is what turns a small leak into a puddle you can see rather than a soaked cabinet.
Scope
One visit, and usually a short one.
Fit a valve on the feed
A tee valve under the sink so the machine can be closed on its own. Or the existing one freed if it has seized.
Braided inlet hose
Fitted rather than reusing the hose that came in the box, and routed so pushing the machine in does not crush it.
Open the trap spigot
The blanked outlet on the sink trap knocked out and the hose clipped on properly rather than pushed on and hoped.
Make the high loop
The drain hose clipped up under the worktop before it drops. This is the step that stops dirty water returning.
Check the housing
The machine pushed in slowly with the hoses watched, so nothing is kinked or trapped behind it.
Run a full cycle
All the way through with the connections watched during fill and drain, then the cupboard checked again afterwards.
Not included
Said before the visit, not after
How It Works
Five steps, usually inside an hour.
Tell us the situation
New machine, moved machine, leaking, or not draining. Each one points somewhere different before we arrive.
Look under the sink
Whether there is a valve, whether the trap spigot is open, and what the existing hose arrangement looks like.
Valve, hose and spigot
Isolation valve fitted, braided inlet on, drain clipped to the trap properly.
High loop and housing
Hose lifted and clipped, then the machine eased back with everything watched so nothing folds.
Full cycle and recheck
Run right through, then the cupboard looked at again a few minutes later rather than straight away.
The Decision
Four symptoms that get blamed on the machine and are usually the pipework.
| What you have | What it needs | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Wet under the machine all the time | Inlet side | The hose or its connection, live whether the machine runs or not. |
| Wet only during a cycle | Drain side | The hose at the trap, or a kink behind the machine. Nothing is under pressure so it only shows in use. |
| Dirty water sitting in the base | No high loop | Waste from the sink is running back down the hose. Lifting and clipping the hose fixes it. |
| New machine will not drain at all | Trap spigot still blanked | The outlet on the sink trap comes sealed from the factory. Knocking it out takes seconds. |
| Cabinet beside it smells damp | Look now | A slow leak in a boxed in housing soaks chipboard for months before any water shows on the floor. |
If the sink waste itself is blocked, that is blocked drain cleaning Dubai. The washing machine in the same flat is washing machine plumbing Dubai.
Why TRAXICO
Small decisions, and they decide whether your kitchen units survive.
The high loop, every time
A dishwasher plumber Dubai kitchens call back is one who clipped the hose up. Most dishwasher plumbing company Dubai fittings run it flat to the trap.
A valve you can close
Its own isolation on the feed, so the machine can be shut off before a trip without losing the kitchen tap.
Braided inlet hose
The boxed hose is the part that opens. A dishwasher plumbing technician Dubai owners trust changes it without being asked.
Watched going back in
The machine is eased into its housing with the hoses watched, because a kink made now is a fault reported next week.
Full cycle, not a rinse
Fill and drain stress different connections, and a boxed in machine hides a slow leak until the cabinet is already wet.
We look at the washing machine too
Same hoses, same age, same flat. Two minutes to check and it is the cheapest flood prevention there is.
Worth Knowing
Three things that explain nearly every dishwasher call.
01 / 03
A dishwasher drains into the same trap as the kitchen sink, usually through a spigot on the side of it.
If the drain hose runs flat or downhill from the machine to that spigot, water from the sink can run backwards along it. Wash a greasy pan, and some of that water ends up sitting in the bottom of the dishwasher.
The fix costs nothing. The hose is lifted and clipped to the underside of the worktop before it drops to the trap, so the top of the loop is higher than the water can ever reach.
Almost every dishwasher we are called to with dirty water in the base has no loop.
02 / 03
A washing machine in a laundry room leaks onto a tiled floor and somebody sees it.
A dishwasher sits inside a run of kitchen units with a cabinet either side and a plinth in front. A slow drip runs along the floor of the housing, into the cut edge of the neighbouring cabinet, and swells the chipboard from the inside.
By the time water shows at the plinth, the unit beside it has usually been wet for months. That is why a slightly damp smell in a kitchen is worth looking at rather than waiting for a puddle.
03 / 03
This is the most common call after a kitchen fitter has been, and it is almost never the machine.
Sink traps are sold with the dishwasher outlet sealed by a thin moulded blank, so the trap works normally for people who do not have a machine. Whoever connects the dishwasher is supposed to knock that blank out.
When it is missed, the machine fills, washes and then reports a drain fault because the water has nowhere to go. It takes seconds to correct and it is worth checking before anybody calls an appliance engineer.

Questions
Connecting to an existing sink trap and valve is a short visit. Creating a new feed and waste point is pipework and is quoted after we have looked at the kitchen.
The drain hose has no high loop, so water from the sink runs back down it into the machine. Lifting and clipping the hose under the worktop fixes it and costs nothing.
Usually not. Sink traps come with the dishwasher outlet sealed by a moulded blank, and whoever connected it may not have knocked it out. That takes seconds to correct.
Because the inlet hose is at full pressure all day whether the machine runs or not. A tee valve under the sink lets you close it before a trip without losing the kitchen tap.
Yes, and it is worth looking now. A boxed in machine leaks into the housing and soaks the neighbouring cabinet from its cut edge, months before water appears at the plinth.
No. We do the plumbing up to it and we will tell you honestly when the fault is inside the machine, so you are not paying us to diagnose an appliance.
Usually, if the feed and the waste can reach. It needs a look first, because moving it away from the sink means taking a waste connection across the kitchen.
We work across the whole city. Marina, JLT, JVC, Downtown, Business Bay, Mirdif, Al Barsha and Deira are all normal working areas.
