Length and width
A bath fits an alcove or it does not. Ten millimetres either way is the difference between a clean job and a filled gap.
Plumbing
A bath is the one fixture whose plumbing disappears behind tile forever. The waste and the trap have to be right before anything closes, and there has to be a way back in afterwards.
Start Here
The points where a new bath beats patching the old one.
Water in the room below after a bath
The waste, the overflow or the seal at the wall. If the panel is tiled shut, finding it usually means the bath comes out anyway.
The bath flexes when you stand in it
It was never supported underneath. The movement breaks the seal at the wall every time, and no amount of silicone fixes that.
A crack or a chip through the surface
Acrylic and steel both fail once water reaches the layer under the finish. Bathtub replacement Dubai is the answer rather than a filler.
Staining that will not clean off
The surface has gone. On acrylic that is dulling and scratching, on enamel it is the glaze, and neither comes back.
Bathroom being renovated
Bathroom bathtub installation Dubai is far cheaper while the walls and floor are open, and it is the only time the waste can move.
Overview
Taking the old bath out, fitting the new one and proving the waste before it disappears. Professional bathtub installation Dubai is judged on what happens under the bath.
Built in baths
Built in bathtub installation Dubai against two or three walls, with a tiled or removable panel and a proper support frame.
Freestanding baths
Freestanding bathtub installation Dubai where the waste comes up through the floor and there is nowhere to hide a mistake.
Replacing like for like
New bathtub installation Dubai in the same position, which is the quickest version and usually the sensible one.
Homes and businesses
Home bathtub installation Dubai for flats and villas, and the same bathtub fitting Dubai work in hotels and serviced apartments.
What We Work On
Six things, and all of them are settled before the bath goes in.
Length and width
A bath fits an alcove or it does not. Ten millimetres either way is the difference between a clean job and a filled gap.
Waste position and fall
The trap needs depth under the bath and the waste needs a fall to run. On a level slab that has to be solved before tiling.
Support underneath
Feet alone are not enough on an acrylic bath. It needs a frame or a bed so it does not flex when somebody stands in it.
The access panel
Every bath needs a way to reach its trap. A tiled panel with no access means the next leak starts with breaking tiles.
Overflow and filler
Where the water comes in and where it escapes if the tap is left running. Both connect under the bath and both get tested.
Material
Acrylic is light and warm and flexes. Steel is rigid and cold and heavy. Stone resin needs a floor that can carry it.
Scope
The same job for a replacement or a new bathroom.
Measure the alcove first
Length, width and depth, plus the waste position. We would rather do this before you order than after a delivery.
Remove the old bath
Usually cut out rather than lifted whole, because a full size bath does not go back through a bathroom door.
Check what is underneath
The waste, the trap and the floor. A wet floor under an old bath is the reason you are replacing it and it has to dry.
Support and level
Frame or bed set, bath levelled slightly towards the waste, and fixed so it does not move at all under load.
Connect and test full
Filled to the overflow and released, with the trap watched. A bath only leaks under the weight of real water.
Seal and leave access
Sanitary silicone at the walls, and a panel or hatch that lets the trap be reached without breaking anything.
Not included
Said before the visit, not after
How It Works
Five steps, and two of them happen before the bath arrives.
Measure and advise
The alcove and the waste. That tells you which baths fit and whether the waste has to move.
Agree the panel
Removable or tiled with a hatch. Decided now, because after tiling it is somebody breaking a wall.
Strip out
Old bath cut out and removed, floor and waste checked, anything wet dried before the new one goes near it.
Fit, support and connect
Frame, level, waste, overflow and filler. Then filled to the overflow and released while we watch the trap.
Seal and hand over
Silicone at the walls once everything is dry, panel fitted, and the old bath taken away with us.
The Decision
The alcove and the waste decide this, not the bath you liked.
| What you have | What it needs | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Same size, same waste position | Straight replacement | A day. The new bath sits where the old one did and the tiling around it may survive. |
| Different length | Tiling work as well | A shorter bath leaves a gap that has to be built and tiled. That is another trade. |
| Freestanding in a new position | Floor work first | The waste comes up through the floor. It has to be there before the bath, not after. |
| Bath sound, only the seal leaks | Reseal it | If it does not flex, cutting out the old silicone and resealing is a fraction of a replacement. |
| Bath flexes underfoot | Refit or replace | No seal survives a moving bath. It has to be supported properly, and that means lifting it either way. |
If the room is being redone around it, the whole job is on bathroom plumbing Dubai. If water is already showing below, start with leak detection Dubai.
Why TRAXICO
Everything that matters here is hidden the day after it is done.
Filled and released before tiling
A bathtub installer Dubai homeowners recommend is one who tested the waste under a full bath rather than a running tap.
An access panel, always
Most bathtub installation contractor Dubai jobs tile straight over the trap. The first leak then starts with a grinder.
Supported, not just stood on feet
A frame or a bed under an acrylic bath. Feet alone let it flex, and flex breaks the seal at the wall every time.
Levelled towards the waste
A bath level in every direction holds a puddle. A very slight fall to the waste is what stops the standing water.
Sealed when everything is dry
Silicone on a damp edge never bonds. It is the last thing done, not the first, and it is why the seal lasts.
The old bath leaves with us
Cut out and taken away rather than left in the car park, along with the packaging.
Worth Knowing
Three things that decide whether a bath is trouble later.
01 / 03
Under every bath is a trap, and traps block and leak like every other trap in the property.
The difference is that a bath trap is sealed behind a bath panel, and in a lot of Dubai bathrooms that panel was tiled solid to match the walls. It looks excellent and it means the first small problem becomes a tiling job.
A proper installation leaves either a removable panel or a neat hatch in the tiled one. It costs almost nothing at the time and it is the single most useful decision on this page.
02 / 03
Almost never the silicone, even though the silicone is what fails.
An acrylic bath standing only on its feet flexes when somebody gets in. The edge drops a millimetre or two, the seal at the wall stretches, and after enough baths it opens. Water then runs behind the tiles rather than into the bath.
Resealing it fixes nothing, because the movement is still there. The bath has to be supported underneath, with a frame or bedded on mortar, so that the edge does not move at all.
03 / 03
A running tap proves nothing. A bath has to be tested full.
The weight of a full bath pushes the waste and the trap in a way a trickle never does, and it is the only way to load the overflow connection at the same time. Fill it to the overflow, let it out, and watch the trap while it empties.
This has to happen before the panel goes on and before anything is tiled. Once the bath is boxed in, a leak found later is a much larger conversation.

Questions
A like for like replacement in the same position is about a day of plumbing. Changing the size or moving the waste adds tiling and floor work, which is where the cost really sits.
Yes. It is usually cut into sections first, because a full size bath does not go back through a bathroom door, and it leaves with us along with the packaging.
Because it moves. An acrylic bath on feet alone flexes when somebody gets in, which stretches the seal until it opens. Resealing does nothing until the bath is supported underneath.
Yes. The trap under the bath will block or leak one day like every other trap. Without a panel that repair starts by breaking tiles off a finished wall.
Yes, and the position has to be set out before the floor closes because the waste comes up through it. The floor also has to carry the weight, which matters with stone resin baths.
It has to be. Filled to the overflow and released, with the trap watched. A running tap does not load the waste the way a full bath does.
Yes, and several rooms in one programme. Work is staged so rooms come back into use in order rather than all at once.
