How to measure a wall
You need a tape measure and two minutes. There is no trick to it.
Measure at waist height
Measure the width of each wall about a metre off the floor. Skirting and floor edges make measuring at the bottom awkward.
Measure height in a corner
Floor to ceiling, in a corner where the tape can stand straight. It is the same all round in nearly every flat.
Use all four boxes
Put each wall in its own box. If the room is a plain rectangle, walls one and three are the same and so are two and four.
More than four walls
Add the extra ones into any box. The tool only adds them together, so it does not matter which box they go in.
