Urgent
Paint lifting or bubbling off the surface
The old coat is no longer stuck to the wall. Anything painted over it lifts with it, so that area is scraped back to a sound edge first.
Painting
Wall painting Dubai flats and villas need starts with what the wall is made of. Gypsum board, block and plaster all take paint differently, and the wall in front of you decides the primer, the number of coats and the price.
Before & After
Our own walls, photographed from the same spot before the work and after it.
Finishes
The finish matters more on a wall than anywhere else in the property, because a wall is what people touch. It decides whether marks wipe off and whether every small bump in the surface shows.
Matt
Hides bumps and old repairs better than anything else. Marks do not wipe off well, so keep it off anything that gets touched.
Eggshell
A soft finish you can still wipe. This is the safe answer for most bedrooms and living rooms.
Satin
Takes cleaning without losing its look. Good for hallways, stairs and the wall next to every door.
Silk
Wipes down easily and handles steam, so it suits kitchens and bathrooms. It also shows every dent in the surface under it.
Semi gloss
Made for wood and metal rather than for large walls. Doors, frames and skirting take it well.
Gloss
The hardest and easiest to clean of all of them. It needs a very smooth surface, because it hides nothing.
Overview
Walls only. Ceilings, doors and skirting are a different part of the job and are quoted separately. Professional wall painting Dubai starts with somebody putting a hand on the wall.
One wall or all of them
A single feature wall, one damaged wall, or every wall in the property. Residential wall painting Dubai is quoted by the wall, not by the room.
Repainting tired walls
Wall repainting Dubai homes need when the finish has worn out, marks no longer wipe off, or years of touch ups have left a patchwork.
Colour and feature walls
Decorative wall painting Dubai for accent walls, two tone walls and strong colours, where the wall is meant to be looked at.
Homes and workplaces
Commercial wall painting Dubai for offices, clinics and shops, worked out of hours so nobody loses a working day.
On The Job
Our own crews on real walls. None of these are bought pictures.

What The Wall Is Telling You
Stand close to it in daylight and run a hand across it. These are the six answers.
Urgent
Paint lifting or bubbling off the surface
The old coat is no longer stuck to the wall. Anything painted over it lifts with it, so that area is scraped back to a sound edge first.
Urgent
A soft or damp patch on the wall
Water is getting in from somewhere. The source has to be found and stopped, because paint over a damp wall fails within weeks.
Book soon
Hairline cracks running from a corner
Heat has moved the wall. The crack is opened, filled from the back and primed, which is what stops it returning in the same line.
Routine
A shiny patch where you keep wiping
Matt paint burnishes when it is rubbed. It cannot be cleaned back, so that wall needs repainting in a finish that survives a cloth.
Routine
A patchwork of old touch ups
Different tins, different ages and different sheens never blend. One more patch makes it worse, and the wall wants painting corner to corner.
Routine
Dents and marks at furniture height
A sofa, a bed or a chair back has been against it for years. Normal, easy to fill, and worth doing before the wall is painted rather than after.
Preparation
A wall is judged in daylight from a metre away, so everything under the paint shows. This is where the money in a quote actually goes.
Cover and protect
Floors, furniture, sockets and door handles get covered before a tin is opened. Dust sheets and tape, not old newspaper.
Wash the surface
Dubai dust settles on every wall every day. Painting over it means painting over grit, so walls are washed and left to dry first.
Cut out the cracks
A crack is opened up, cleaned and filled from the back. Skimming filler over the top of a crack hides it for a few months only.
Fill and sand
Holes, dents and old fixing points are filled, then sanded flat by hand. This is the step that decides how the finished wall looks in daylight.
Prime the repairs
Bare filler drinks paint at a different speed than the wall around it. Without primer, every repair reads through the finish as a dull patch.
Check before painting
We walk the room with you and a light before the first coat, because a missed dent is cheap now and expensive later.
The cheaper quote
What gets taken out to drop a price
None of this is visible on the day the job finishes. All of it is visible a year later.
Rooms & Surfaces
Walls in Dubai property are built four or five different ways, and what yours is made of changes the primer, the filler and the number of coats.
Gypsum board partitions
Board on a metal frame, common in apartments and offices. It marks easily and it cracks along the board joints, which need taping rather than filling.
Block and plaster
The solid walls in most villas. They move with the heat and crack at door and window corners, and they drink paint until they are sealed.
Feature and accent walls
One wall in a strong colour. A deep shade over white needs a tinted primer and usually three coats, and that belongs in the quote rather than on the day.
Kitchen and bathroom walls
Steam and cooking oil need a wipeable, moisture tolerant product. Interior wall painting Dubai bathrooms get in matt emulsion fails inside a year.
Previously papered walls
Paper off, old adhesive washed away, board sealed and made good. Painting over old paste is one of the commonest reasons a new coat lifts.
Outside and boundary walls
Render over block, and a different product entirely. That work is on exterior painting Dubai rather than here.
Colour
A place to start rather than a colour card. Colour on a wall never looks like colour on a card, so we paint samples on your own wall and leave them for a day before you decide.
Warm whites
The safest choice in a bright flat. They keep a room open without going cold.
Soft white
Ceilings and small rooms.
Linen
Living rooms with a lot of glass.
Warm sand
Bedrooms that face the sun.
Greys
Modern and easy to furnish around. Cool greys can feel flat in a dark room.
Pale grey
Offices and hallways.
Stone
One feature wall, not four.
Charcoal
Media walls and reception counters.
Warm neutrals
They hide daily marks better than white and still look clean.
Oat
Family living rooms.
Clay
Dining rooms and majlis walls.
Taupe
Stairwells that take a lot of contact.
Greens and blues
Calm colours that suit bedrooms. They need good light or they go dull.
Sage
Bedrooms and study rooms.
Deep green
A single wall behind a bed.
Soft blue
Children rooms and bathrooms.
The Paint
You choose the brand and we buy it in your name. Wall paint services Dubai homes get from us end with the tins, the colour codes and the receipts handed over.
Jotun
Sold across the UAE with interior emulsions and exterior wall coatings in the same range, so one brand can cover a whole villa inside and out.
Dulux
A full interior and exterior range that is easy to buy in Dubai, which matters when a job needs one more tin on the last day.
National Paints
Made in the UAE, so stock is easy and a colour can be matched again months later without a long wait.
Berger
Long established in the Gulf with both wall and wood ranges, so one brand can cover a whole flat.
Hempel
Better known for protective coatings, which is why it turns up on exterior and common area work rather than in bedrooms.
Want a brand that is not on this list? Name it and we will buy it. The paint is bought in your name either way.
TRAXICO is an independent painting contractor. We are not an agent or dealer for any paint maker, we buy the product you choose, and we hand you the tins and receipts at the end of the job.
Scope
The same list whether it is one wall or forty.
Look at the wall, not a floor plan
We check what it is built from, what has been done to it before, and whether anything is still moving. That decides everything after it.
Measure and quote by the wall
Each wall priced on its own condition. A sound wall and a wall with old repairs are different work at the same square metre.
Protect what is around it
Floor covered, furniture pulled clear and wrapped, sockets and switch plates taken off rather than painted around.
Wash the surface
Dubai dust settles on a wall every day. Paint over it grips the dust rather than the wall, and wears through first where people touch.
Cut out, fill and sand
Cracks opened and filled from the back, dents and fixing holes made good, everything sanded flat by hand.
Prime the repairs
Bare filler drinks paint faster than the wall around it. Without primer, every repair reads back through the finish as a dull patch.
Two full coats
At the rate the maker states, edges cut in by brush. A strong colour gets a tinted primer or a third coat, and we say so before starting.
Daylight check
We walk the wall with you in daylight, because that is the only light that shows a missed patch.
Quoted separately, so nothing appears on your invoice unexpectedly.
How It Works
Six steps. On a single wall it is one day, on a whole flat it repeats.
Visit and touch the wall
What it is made of, what state it is in and whether anything under it needs dealing with first. Then a written quote.
Agree colour and finish
Samples painted on the wall itself and left overnight. A colour looks different at eight in the morning and at eight at night.
Protect and prepare
Covering down, then wash, cut out, fill and sand. This is most of the hours on any wall worth painting.
Prime
Repairs and bare areas primed, and the whole wall primed where the colour change is big or the surface is new.
Two coats
Edges cut in by brush, then rolled in one direction. Second coat once the first is properly dry rather than two hours later.
Clean and hand over
Furniture back, sockets refitted, floor cleaned, and the leftover paint and colour code left with you for touch ups.
The Decision
The question every customer asks first, and the answer is not always all four.
| Your situation | What we advise | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Damage on one wall, paint under a year old | That wall only | Recent paint has not faded, so a single wall still matches the other three. |
| Damage on one wall, paint several years old | All four | The old walls have faded slightly. One fresh wall next to three tired ones is more obvious than the damage was. |
| You want one wall in a strong colour | That wall, plus a primer | A feature wall is meant to be different. Deep colour needs a tinted primer and often a third coat. |
| Marks that no longer wipe off | Repaint in a tougher finish | The finish has burnished from cleaning. The same matt will do the same thing again. |
| Cracks in more than one wall | All of them | Once cracks are cut out and primed the walls need full coats anyway, so doing one at a time costs more. |
| Ceilings and doors also look tired | Book the whole interior | Walls alone leave a fresh room with an old ceiling above it, and the ceiling is what you notice next. |
If ceilings, doors and skirting are going to be done at the same time, the whole job is set out on interior painting Dubai and it is cheaper booked together.
Why TRAXICO
A wall is looked at from a metre away in daylight. That is a harder test than most people realise, and it is what these are for.

Priced by the wall
You can take one wall out of the quote and the number changes honestly. Most wall painting contractors Dubai has price by the room and round up, so ask any wall painting contractor Dubai based for the figure wall by wall.
We tell you what it is made of
Gypsum board, block or plaster, and whether the crack you are worried about is a board joint or the wall moving. That answer is free.
Edges cut by hand
Tape leaves a ridge along the ceiling line and pulls paint off when it comes away. A brush line is faster and it is what a trained painter is for.
Repairs primed, never skipped
This is the single thing that separates a wall that looks finished from one that looks patched in the wrong light.
Low odour paint as standard
So you can stay in the property. Tell us if anyone in the house has asthma and we plan which walls happen when.
Colour recorded and left with you
Product, colour code and finish written down for each wall, with the leftover tin, so a mark next year is a ten minute repair.
Worth Knowing
Four things about the wall itself. Almost nobody asks about them, and they decide the result more than the brand does.
There are two kinds of wall in most Dubai property and they behave completely differently.
Gypsum board on a metal frame is what almost every apartment partition and office wall is. It is light, it dents easily, and it cracks along the joints between boards rather than randomly. A crack in a board wall that runs perfectly straight from floor to ceiling is a joint opening, and it needs re taping rather than filling.
Block with plaster or render over it is what most villa walls are, and what the outside walls of everything are. It moves with the heat, so it cracks at the weak points, which are the corners of doors and windows. It is also thirsty, and a new or repaired plaster wall will drink two coats of paint and still look patchy unless it is sealed first.
You can usually tell them apart by knocking. Board sounds hollow, block does not.
Which one you have changes the filler, the primer and how many coats the wall needs, which is why we look before we price rather than quoting from a floor plan.
This is the most common disappointment in wall repainting Dubai homes get, and it is avoidable.
Paint fades. Not dramatically, and not in a way you notice day to day, but a white wall painted three years ago is not the same white as the tin it came from. Put a freshly painted wall next to three of those and the fresh one reads as brighter and slightly different.
So the honest rule is simple. If the paint is under a year old, one wall is fine. If it is several years old, either do all four or accept that the new wall will stand out.
The same thing happens with patches. A touch up on a wall painted years ago always shows, even from the same tin, which is why a patched wall usually ends up needing a full repaint anyway.
The way out of it is to keep the tin and the colour code. A wall repainted from the original product within a year or so blends properly, and that is why we leave both with you.
Two full coats over a primed surface. That is the standard and it is what a quote should say.
One coat covers, in the sense that you cannot see the old colour through it in the light it was finished in. In daylight the next morning it is patchy, because a single coat sits thinner over the parts of the wall that absorb more.
Some walls need three. A strong colour over white, white over a strong colour, and any new or freshly plastered wall all need either a tinted primer or an extra coat. That is not an upsell, it is arithmetic, and it belongs in the quote rather than being discovered halfway through.
Thinning is the quiet way to make a quote cheaper. Paint spread further than the maker states covers less, wears sooner and cannot be seen on the day. If a price is much lower and the coats are the same, this is usually where the difference went.
Two coats also need drying time between them. A wall painted twice in one afternoon is one thick coat with a line in it.
One wall in a deeper colour is the cheapest way to change a room, and it is the one that goes wrong most often.
Strong colours have less white pigment in them, which means they cover less. A deep blue or green over a white wall usually needs a grey tinted primer and then two coats, and without the primer it takes four.
Pick the wall carefully. A feature wall works where there is something on it, a bed, a sofa or a television, and it works best where the light comes across it rather than straight at it.
Finish matters more on a dark wall than a light one. Dark matt shows every mark and every touch of a hand, so on a wall people walk past, a low sheen is the safer answer.
If what you want is surface rather than colour, a hand applied finish does something paint cannot, and that is on texture painting Dubai.

What the wall is made of
Board, block or fresh plaster. A new or repaired plaster wall needs sealing before it will take paint evenly, and that is an extra stage.
Condition of the surface
The biggest number on any wall quote. A sound wall needing two coats and a wall with cracks, dents and old bad repairs are not the same job.
How big the colour change is
Similar shade over similar shade is two coats. Light over dark, or a deep colour over white, needs a tinted primer or a third coat.
How many walls
The set up, protection and clean up happen once whether it is one wall or twelve, so more walls in one visit are cheaper per wall.
Height and access
A normal wall is straightforward. A double height wall in a stairwell or entrance needs a tower, and that is time as well as equipment.
No surprises on the invoice
If the room needs its ceiling, doors and skirting done as well, ask for both numbers. Doing the lot in one visit is nearly always less than walls now and the rest later.

Questions
What customers ask before booking, answered without the sales pitch.
It is priced by the wall, and the condition matters more than the size. A sound wall needing two coats and a wall with cracks and old repairs are different jobs. The site visit and the written quote are free.
Yes, and we will tell you honestly whether it will match. If the other walls were painted within about a year it blends. If they are several years old the fresh wall will read brighter, and doing all four is the better answer.
Usually one day including preparation and two coats, if the wall is sound. Cracks, old paper or a big colour change add time, mostly in drying rather than in painting.
Two full coats over a primed surface. A deep colour over white, or white over a deep colour, needs a tinted primer or a third coat, and that is written into the quote rather than found out on the day.
Not on this service. Walls only here. Ceilings, doors, frames and skirting are part of the interior painting job, and booking the lot together is cheaper than booking walls now and the rest later.
Yes, once they are dealt with properly. Cracks are cut open, filled from the back, sanded flat and primed. If a crack looks structural rather than heat movement, we say so instead of filling it.
Yes. Commercial wall painting Dubai runs at night or across a weekend, section by section, and the area is reinstated before your staff arrive the next morning.
If you have the tin or the colour code it is exact. If you do not, we match to a hidden area behind a wardrobe or a door, where the original colour has not faded.
We work across the whole city, so a search for wall painting near me Dubai or for a wall painting company near me Dubai reaches us wherever you are. Marina, JVC, Downtown, Mirdif, Al Barsha and Deira are all normal working areas.
Yes, and an empty property is the cheapest version of the job. We keep the colour and product records so every flat in a building stays to one standard and touch ups always match.
